Founder of Side by Side Coaching. Host of The Silent Reckoning, a weekly podcast for men who've lived for everyone else.
I walk with high-performing men who did it right and feel hollow anyway — helping them come home to the peace, freedom, and confidence of the man God made them to be.
Some of the best years of my life were spent in ministry. As a young man I was faith-centered and part of something that lit people up — I knew who I was and what I was for. That was the truest version of me that has ever existed.
Then, slowly, over years, I wandered away from him. Not in one dramatic moment — in a series of reasonable choices that added up to a different life. One that looked impressive from the outside. One that, piece by piece, had less and less of me in it. I spent nearly two decades in corporate leadership and executive coaching, and I got very good at being who everyone needed: the provider, the fixer, the one who handles it.
And then I lost most of what I'd built. I remember sitting on a rock — an actual rock, head in my hands — with the clearest, coldest thought I've ever had: none of it was ever what I actually wanted. I'd given my whole self to a life that was never mine. And underneath that was something harder to admit: I'd been hiding for years. Carrying pain and shame alone, certain that if anyone saw all of me they'd leave, and numbing it rather than facing it.
What got me back wasn't a system. I was met.
The first honest thing I understood on that rock was that I couldn't do it alone. So I called my father. He answered, and he loved me at the lowest point of my life. He sent me to an old friend — a Catholic priest — and I sat down and told him everything. And when I'd finished, he told me the thing I'd hidden for years wasn't the end of me. It was a blessing. That now it was out, I didn't have to carry it. That I could reclaim who I'd always been at my best — and that what I'd walked through was preparing me for what I was called to next.
Once my eyes were open, I could see God had been providing all along — through my father, through that priest, through a near-stranger who showed up at exactly the right moment. I didn't earn my way back. I was loved before I'd built a single thing, and that love was never something I had to earn.
It was never about becoming someone new. It was about coming home to the man I'd already been.
That priest was right. This work — walking with other men to the moment they stop hiding — is what my hardest chapter prepared me for. I host The Silent Reckoning, a weekly podcast for men who are successful on paper and quietly unsure whose life they've been living. I built the Side by Side Brotherhood, a free room where men stop carrying it alone. And I guide a small number of men through The Reclaiming, a six-month passage through the whole path home.
This is Christian coaching — not therapy, and not ministry. I won't hand you a system. I'll walk beside you, ask the questions you've been avoiding, and point you toward the grace that lifts a man back to who he was always meant to be.
